The world is open again. Or at least it’s beginning to open again.
After 18 months away, I finally got to give my dad and step mom a hug. If you know how close my dad and I are, then you’d know this was a very big deal. As serendipity would have it, our homecoming trip fell over my dad’s birthday week, even more cause for celebration.
Days were spent on the beach, wandering around Honolulu, and enjoying all the tours to be had. We booked a turtle snorkeling cruise, a catamaran cruise, a luau, and a sunset lobster dinner cruise for my dad’s birthday. We even knocked parasailing off the bucket list with the dad.
